Description of Materials

Padding:  3/8” thick cut neoprene has been rigorously tested for bite and impact through a third-party ISO certified consumer products testing facility. Our foam has passed both the 16CFR 1500 and CFR 1500.53 requirements. One of the many benefits of Neoprene is that it is both flexible for comfort of wear as well as highly durable creating a higher level of protection. It repels liquid and has a very low permeability which makes it a more hygienic choice for a wearable foam. Neoprene is both easy to clean and maintains its form over time.

Exterior Fabric: The exterior of our garments is made with a medium weight polyester scuba. Scuba is a highly durable and stable textile because it is a double knit, which means that it consists of two layers of fabric.

Interior Fabric Lining: The lining of our garments are made using a recycled interlock knit fabric that is made of 100% REPREVE® with Sorbtek® fibers delivering an environmentally preferred fabric with inherent breathability and moisture wicking properties. The peached feel of this knit against the skin makes the comfort of the wearer a priority with this fabric. Proudly milled in the USA.

Jacket Back Panel and Gussets Mesh:  Polyester spandex blend in a honeycomb 3D mesh knit boasts MaxDri® Moisture Management and Microblok® technology and finished with an anti-microbial finish. This performance fabric excels as creating comfort, flexibility, and breathability in our garments in all the right places.

Durability

Safeguard Protective Apparel provides an alternative to protective gear borrowed from sports and martial arts. These products are not comfortable and do not last long. Field-tested, our products are durable yet flexible, easy to put on and take off, and available in many sizes.
